The default path – a “script” of decisions and accomplishments needed to be seen as a successful adult (e.g.Is it something you’ve been “scripted” to chase or an ideal life which you know you want?Īs I write this, I’m 2 weeks away from quitting my job, so consider that proof that this book is impactful… and to me an essential read. It makes you question what you’re growing, being productive or working obscene hours for. Paul’s story is so relatable, genuine and packed with lessons that “exceptional” stories can’t get across. It’s not as actionable as your typical self-help book (hence the high fluff rating) but it’s job is to get you to question your own life using Paul’s (the author) perspective & story. This book (or “manifesto”) is a packaged existential crisis.
